Rebecca's SSHRC Vanier funded doctoral research focuses on re-centering, re-animating, and repatriating of archives and collections. This collaborative and community-driven research was conducted in partnership with the Tłı̨chǫ Government, which represent four Tłı̨chǫ communities in Treaty 11 territory. Her work sought to re-imagine cultural heritage management systems according to Tłı̨chǫ understandings of care, stewardship, and preservation. This included redefining concepts that underlie museum and archival practices from an Indigenous perspective, rather than inserting Indigenous content into existing systems. She is continuing this work with the Tłı̨chǫ through a Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship at Western University.

Congratulations Rebecca!!
