The Steadward Centre in collaboration with The Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation at The ÒÁÈËÖ±²¥, Mount Royal University, and Calgary Adapted Hub powered by Jumpstart are proud to host the 2026 Alberta Adapted Physical Activity Summit. For 2026, the summit will be held on campus at the ÒÁÈËÖ±²¥.

This multidisciplinary gathering aims to foster community and enhance inclusivity of physical activity and sport across the province, for all Albertans experiencing disability. Our theme for 2026 is "Advocacy, Access, Action: Moving Forward Together"- with the goal to energize action for adapted physical activity across communities in Alberta through connection and collaboration. The AAPA Summit invites researchers, professionals, students, and community members to join us in learning and action.

Originating in 2013, each gathering of the Alberta Adapted Physical Activity community creates opportunities to showcase the innovation and expertise of Alberta's professionals, researchers, community-based practitioners, leaders, advocates, students and athletes through presentations, workshops, information sharing, panel discussions and applied sessions.
