Canada Post Strike - Supplier Update and Information
26 September 2025
Update: October 14, 2025
Canada Post shifted to a rotating strike on October 11th and will deliver mail but not on a regular schedule. Cheques will be mailed out through Canada Post, however, cheque recipients should expect delays as a result of the rotating strike.
With the current Canada Post strike, existing vendors set up for cheque payments are encouraged to switch to Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) by completing a supplier/vendor change information request form.
Switching to EFT ensures secure, reliable, and timely payment directly to your bank account, typically within two business days. EFTs are cost-effective, easy to set up, and eliminate the delays and risks associated with mailing cheques.
The Supplier Change Request to EFT form must be completed by an authorized representative of the company and a copy of a void cheque or bank letter must be included.
