Programs + Services

First Peoples’ House provides students with holistic support. Its programming and resources aim to understand and honour First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) students learners’ academic journeys by fostering better cultural, mental, emotional, physical and financial wellness. Whatever an FNMI student seeks — an intuitive learning space, nourishment on any given day, a space to connect with friends or kihtehayahk — it is a safe place that provides them with what they need, as they are so they can achieve academic and personal growth.

Kihtehayahk (Elders) at First Peoples’ House guide programming with a cultural foundation and teachings that support staff and provide stability for FNMI students to reconnect and connect with who they are and where they come from.
