COVID-19, influenza and RSV vaccinations are available to Albertans this fall. Please visit for details on eligibility, timing and booking at public health clinics or pharmacies.
Information regarding vaccination against measles can be found . Measles vaccinations are available through the University Health Centre.
COVID-19 vaccine
High-risk individuals: Vaccination is available at public health clinics at no cost to those in higher-risk groups, including health care workers, residents of continuing care homes, seniors aged 65 and older and those with eligible medical conditions.
All other individuals: Vaccination is available starting October 20 at public health clinics or select pharmacies:
- There will be a $100 administration fee to receive the vaccination at an AHS site.
- Select pharmacies, including the University Health Centre Pharmacy, will offer the vaccine (no prescription required), based on availability. The administration fee is set by the pharmacy and may vary.
For employees with coverage under the Sun Life Extended Health Care plan, the cost of the COVID-19 vaccine and any associated administration fees are eligible for reimbursement, subject to the plan’s standard reimbursement levels
Influenza (flu) vaccine
Available starting October 20, at both public health clinics and select pharmacies, including the University Health Centre. There is no cost.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine
Available at no cost to those 70 and over who do not live in a continuing care or supportive living facility, or to those 60 or older who live in a continuing care or supportive living facility.
For those between the ages of 60 and 70 living independently, the vaccine is available at select pharmacies for a cost that is covered under the SunLife Extended Health Care plan.
