Saville Community Sports Centre

Saville Community Sports Centre (SCSC) provides programming and services for sport enthusiasts of all levels, from recreational athletes to Olympic champions.

Our 4,000 square foot fitness centre is stocked with state-of-the-art cardio and strength-training equipment. Add eight championship-level indoor tennis courts (and nine outdoor courts), ten sheets of championship-level curling ice, meeting rooms with smart technology, fitness studios, lounge and bar, and you have a wide array of facilities all in one convenient location.

The SCSC features 12 hardwood gymnasiums lined for basketball, volleyball and badminton and has the capability to set up a total of 23 volleyball courts. Each court is equipped with a Senoh volleyball net system, designed for quick net height adjustment. Other activities that can be played in the basketball gymnasiums include badminton, pickleball, kinball and dodgeball. Other activities that are played in the volleyball gymnasiums include sitting volleyball and table tennis.

Access + Hours

To attend our drop-in programming, you must purchase either a drop-in membership or a drop-in day pass.

Please be aware that we do not always have court space available. Be sure to check the schedule before coming by! All drop-in is on a first-come, first-served basis; if we have limited gym space, passes will not be sold until space opens up.

Drop-in basketball is for all individuals to freely use the gym and hoops for their individual use.

Note: Large events and summer camps at SCSC will affect how many drop-ins we can offer.

Gymnasium Rules + Regulations

  • Food is not allowed within the gyms. Water bottles only.
  • Clean indoor footwear is required. Please ensure that your footwear has non-marking soles.
  • Wristbands are required for all drop-in programming; violators caught without a wristband will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
  • No full court basketball games are allowed during drop-in times. All arranged full court games must be booked in advance through basketball gym rentals.
  • There is no coaching permitted with drop-in passes. All lessons or private coaching must be booked through Facility Rentals.

Equipment rentals

Volleyballs, basketballs, and badminton rackets can be rented during drop-in hours (first-come, first-served) for $1/item; participants must leave an item as collateral to rent equipment. Exchange of equipment during the rental is allowed at no additional charge.
